Teachers

The following pages contains examples of Shakespearean lyrics and passages set to music by my students at Steveston-London Secondary in Richmond School District #38, British Columbia, Canada. The students range in age from 13-18 years of age (Grades 8-12), and the examples chosen are drawn from a variety of different subject areas that I teach, including Band 8-12, English 9, and Media Arts 11/12. Where possible, I have made an attempt to credit all students’ contributions. The songs here are deliberately chosen to demonstrate a wide variety of ages, musical abilities and skill levels, as well as various musical styles and genres. All songs are also referenced by Act Scene and Line numbers (Folger Editions) to their original locations in Shakespeare’s plays.
